The Second Wind Assessment & The Insight Session

The Assessment and The Insight Session are two separate group meetings; the first to administer the assessment instruments and the second to reveal and explore our findings.  The meetings last 90 minutes each.

The Second Wind Assessment

Primarily, the assessment is comprised of three written instruments, completed anonymously, by all participants in a group setting.   These instruments open significant inquiries into the following areas:

• Organizational Dynamics -  How the underlying values, motivations and work styles of your organization create opportunities in communication, coordination and adaptation to change
• Stakeholder Relations – How your organization reaches and interacts with those it serves in sales, marketing, service delivery and follow-up
• Resources and Structures – How your organization utilizes time, money, technology and infrastructure to meet client needs and generate results
• Big Picture: How your organization responds to major trends, competition, regulation and the challenges and opportunities of the greater economic environment.

The Second Wind Insight Session

The Insight Session is a group intensive based on the results of the assessment. During the session, we identify, succinctly and in detail:

• Organizational strengths that can be built upon
• Tension-points that are simmering under the surface and need resolution
• Specific areas where the organization would benefit from acquiring new skills
• Areas where resources can be more effectively deployed
• Blind spots that may hide untapped opportunities

The Insight Session includes printed materials that graphically illustrate your organization’s key issues, concerns and opportunities.  In addition, there is time for ongoing interaction, feedback and idea generation.

Together, the Second Wind Assessment and The Insight Session comprise a unique and intensely relevant group engagement that brings the essential, but often unspoken, challenges and opportunities of your organization into sharp and immediate focus.
